Prepare, maintain, and analyze financial statements and reports in compliance with applicable standards
Handle daily accounting activities, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
Ensure accurate and timely filing of VAT, TAX, and other statutory returns
Supervise junior accounts staff and review their work for accuracy
Monitor accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and payroll processing
Manage and report on the company’s cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts
Liaise with external auditors, banks, and tax authorities as required
Maintain updated records of financial transactions and ensure proper documentation
Recommend improvements to internal controls and accounting processes
Prepare and present monthly/quarterly financial summaries to management
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Proficient in accounting software e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems
Sound knowledge of tax laws, VAT, and compliance in Bangladesh
Excellent analytical, time management, and communication skills
Integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CA CC, CMA Part qualified, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Prior experience in leading accounting operations or managing a small team is an advantage
Must be dependable, proactive, and responsible
Willingness to take ownership of tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
