Job Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze financial statements and reports in compliance with applicable standards

  • Handle daily accounting activities, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of VAT, TAX, and other statutory returns

  • Supervise junior accounts staff and review their work for accuracy

  • Monitor accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and payroll processing

  • Manage and report on the company’s cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts

  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and tax authorities as required

  • Maintain updated records of financial transactions and ensure proper documentation

  • Recommend improvements to internal controls and accounting processes

  • Prepare and present monthly/quarterly financial summaries to management

 

Requirements

 

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards

  • Proficient in accounting software e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems

  • Sound knowledge of tax laws, VAT, and compliance in Bangladesh

  • Excellent analytical, time management, and communication skills

  • Integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities

 

Education

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • CA CC, CMA Part qualified, or equivalent professional qualification preferred

 

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

  • Prior experience in leading accounting operations or managing a small team is an advantage
