Job Responsibilities

 

  • Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.

  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.

  • Prepare basic financial reports.

  • Ensure accuracy and organization of financial records.

  • Communicate clearly in English with team members and clients.

 

Requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken English is required
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in accounting software e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar.

Education

  • Graduate in Accounting, Finance, or a related subject
  • Students of ACCA are highly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or others is highly preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or others is highly preferred

Other Details

This is a full-time, in-office position in a UK-based accounting firm located in Sylhet. Working hours are from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM Bangladesh Time, with a 1-hour break.

The candidate must work from our office location and maintain punctuality and regular attendance. Weekends are Saturday and Sunday.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and can communicate effectively in English. This is a long-term role, and the salary will be based on experience, to be discussed during the interview process.
