Job Responsibilities

 

  • Greet customers warmly as they enter the shop and guide them to their tables.

  • Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer customer questions regarding food and beverages.

  • Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen/barista station promptly.

  • Serve food and beverages efficiently and ensure the quality and presentation meet the shop’s standards.

  • Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and reset after each use.

  • Maintain cleanliness in the dining area and ensure a pleasant atmosphere for customers.

  • Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate to management if needed.

  • Provide bills to customers, handle payments cash/card, and return correct change.

  • Support team members in various roles when the shop is busy e.g., clearing tables, refilling water, assisting with takeaway orders.

  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.

 

Requirements

 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Well-groomed, polite, and professional behavior.

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

  • Good memory and attention to detail in taking and delivering orders.

  • Basic math skills for handling payments and billing.

  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Team player with a positive attitude and good work ethic.

 

Education

Minimum HSC or equivalent.

Experience

Minimum 2-3 years working as a waiter/waitress in a café, restaurant, or coffee shop
