Job Responsibilities

 

  • Lead curriculum planning and ensure lesson quality across classes and grades
  • Harmonise teaching methods and maintain consistency in academic delivery
  • Mentor and coach junior teachers through observation and feedback
  • Conduct training sessions CPD and support teacher development plans
  • Oversee student assessment, reporting, and academic progress tracking
  • Design support plans for underperforming students
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and discipline
  • Ensure safeguarding practices are followed strictly in classrooms
  • Identify safeguarding concerns and follow proper reporting procedures
  • Communicate with guardians/caregivers regarding student progress
  • Conduct guardian meetings to support student learning
  • Manage and maintain accurate data in Education Information Systems
  • Support teacher recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation
  • Assist in lesson planning resources and classroom environment setup
  • Represent teaching staff in management meetings
  • Prepare academic, attendance, and progress reports
  • Report any safeguarding or welfare concerns immediately
  • Model integrity, respect, and professionalism

 

Requirements

  • Strong commitment to child protection
  • Understanding of appropriate conduct with children
  • Strict adherence to safeguarding policies
  • Must pass background and reference checks
  • Must sign safeguarding declaration and Code of Conduct

Skills

  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Good communication skills Bangla required, English preferred
  • Organized and disciplined approach
  • Ability to work in a safeguarding-focused environment

Education

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject essential
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education, Curriculum, or TESOL/TEFL preferred
  • Professional teaching certification B.Ed or equivalent preferred
  • Child Protection/Safeguarding certification or willingness to obtain
  • First Aid/CPR certification desirable.

 

Experience

 

  • 4–6 years of teaching experience
  • At least 1 year in a senior or leadership role
  • Experience mentoring or supervising teachers
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment frameworks
  • Experience in English-medium or mixed-ability classrooms
  • Experience working with vulnerable children or NGO settings preferred
  • Experience using EMIS, student databases, and digital learning tools
  • Experience working in structured environments

 

Other Details

Working Hours

Full-time 8 hours/day, 6 days/week, on-call for emergencies

Salary Range

BDT 20,000 – 25,000 per month Based on experience

Probation Period

3 months
