Job Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Monitor budgets and analyze variances
  • Maintain accurate accounting records
  • Ensure timely submission of financial reports to donors and stakeholders

Payroll, Payments & Cash Management

  • Oversee payroll processing and staff payments
  • Supervise supplier payments, reimbursements, and advances
  • Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and forecasts

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Strengthen financial policies and internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and donor regulations
  • Lead audit preparation and implement audit recommendations

Procurement & Asset Management

  • Support procurement processes and maintain vendor records
  • Manage fixed asset register and depreciation

Team Leadership & Capacity Building

  • Supervise and mentor junior finance staff
  • Provide financial training to non-finance teams

Donor & Grant Management

  • Support grant budgeting and donor reporting
  • Assist in proposal development and donor financial queries

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks, Tally, Sage, etc.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills pivot tables, formulas
  • Knowledge of tax and statutory regulations
  • Familiarity with donor rules USAID, EU, UN, etc. is an advantage

Education

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
  • Professional qualification ACCA/CIMA/CA part-qualified is preferred

 

Experience

 

  • 2–3 years of experience in finance/accounting roles
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory position
  • Experience in NGOs or donor-funded projects is highly preferred
  • Proven experience in budgeting, reporting, and audits

 

Other Details

  • Salary: BDT 20,000 – 23,000 including travel allowance
