Freelance IT Specialist - App Security - Remote
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure security of multiple applications web & mobile
- Monitor apps for vulnerabilities, bugs, and threats
- Perform regular security audits and updates
- Manage and maintain application performance
- Handle server/app configurations and backups
- Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure uptime
- Implement best practices for data protection and cybersecurity
- Coordinate with development team when needed
- Provide reports on system health and security status
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of application security cybersecurity basics, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning
- Experience managing multiple apps web/mobile platforms
- Familiarity with hosting, servers, APIs, and databases
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Software Engineering or related field preferred but not mandatory
Experience
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in IT, app management, or cybersecurity
Other Details
Additional Skills Preferred:
- Knowledge of cloud platforms AWS, Azure, etc.
- Experience with DevOps tools
- Basic understanding of coding PHP, Python, JavaScript, etc.
- Familiarity with security tools like firewalls, monitoring systems
