Job Responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned crop production targets through effective field supervision and planning.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production goals are met.
  • Plan and monitor new extension areas, including land preparation, planting, and maintenance.
  • Supervise uprooting and replanting activities to maintain field productivity and bush health.
  • Implement effective pest and disease management programs in coordination with the garden’s advisory team.
  • Oversee nutrient management, including timely application of fertilizers and organic matter.
  • Ensure soil conservation practices such as mulching, drainage management, and erosion control.
  • Supervise composting operations and promote the use of organic fertilizers to improve soil fertility.
  • Manage irrigation planning and water distribution to ensure proper moisture levels in dry seasons.
  • Oversee tea nurseries, ensuring healthy seedling growth and proper selection for planting.
  • Lead and manage labor teams effectively, ensuring productivity, attendance, and quality of work.
  • Maintain daily field records and submit regular progress reports to senior management.
  • Monitor plucking standards, field hygiene, and bush health to improve yield and leaf quality.
  • Ensure compliance with garden policies, safety standards, and welfare practices.
  • Assist in training field workers and supervisors to improve work efficiency and technical knowledge

Requirements

 

  • Age: 28 to 40 years.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Bangla and English written and verbal.
  • Must be proactive, disciplined, and self-organized, with a strong commitment to developing a long-term career in the tea industry.
  • Possess good leadership and team management skills to guide and motivate field staff and workers.
  • Strong decision-making ability and problem-solving mindset in day-to-day field operations.
  • Must be computer literate and capable of maintaining daily field records, yield data, and reports using MS Office or ERP systems.
  • Willing to live and work within the tea estate premises as per company policy.

Education

Graduate in any discipline however candidate who are graduate from Agriculture, Soil Science, Tea Plantation, Agronomy, Botany and Plant Pathology will get preference for this position

Experience

Minimum 1-2 years of practical work experience in tea garden or agricultural field management will get preference and fresher’s are also encouraged to apply
