Supervise children during play, learning, meals, and rest times.
Support children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
Plan and assist with age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
Observe and record children's progress and behavior.
Help children develop good hygiene, eating, and self-care habits.
Administer first aid and respond appropriately to emergencies when needed.
Ensure the nursery is clean, safe, and follows health and safety regulations.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress and well-being.
Work closely with teachers and other staff to support children's learning and development.
Prepare learning materials and maintain classroom equipment and supplies.
Follow safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
Requirements
Minimum SSC/HSC qualification; a diploma or bachelor's degree is an advantage.
Certificate or training in Nursing, Child Care, or Early Childhood Education is preferred.
Previous experience in childcare or a nursery setting is an advantage.
Genuine interest in caring for and supporting young children.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of child development and early learning practices.
First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
Knowledge of health, safety, hygiene, and child safeguarding procedures.
Patient, caring, responsible, and trustworthy.
Physically fit and able to actively supervise young children.
Basic English communication skills; proficiency in the local language is essential.
Education
Minimum Higher Secondary Certificate HSC or equivalent qualification.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field is preferred.
Certification in Child Care, First Aid, and CPR is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a nursery, preschool, daycare center, hospital, or childcare setting is preferred.
Fresh candidates with relevant training or certification may also apply.
Experience in caring for infants and young children, supporting early childhood development, and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment is an advantage.
