We are seeking a licensed Master Electrician to join our team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The ideal candidate is a skilled, reliable, and responsible professional who can work independently or as part of a team in both residential and commercial environments.
This role requires hands-on experience with electrical installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and code compliance under the Electrical Safety Authority ESA regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship on all job sites within the local area.
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components in residential and commercial buildings.
Ensure all work complies with ESA codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
Supervise or collaborate with apprentices and other electricians when required.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and functional condition.
Provide accurate reports on work progress, materials used, and safety inspections.
Follow all company safety policies and site-specific safety regulations.
Valid Electrician’s License Master or Journeyperson certification.
Minimum 1 year of verifiable electrical experience in residential and/or commercial settings.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Strong understanding of ESA code compliance and electrical safety standards.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and willing to work full-time on-site in Thunder Bay.
Completion of a recognized Electrical Trade Certification Program.
High school diploma or equivalent additional technical training preferred.
Minimum 1 year of relevant electrical experience required.
Prior experience as a licensed electrician or in a similar role is preferred.
Work Schedule: 10–12 hour shifts, Monday to Thursday Friday to Sunday off.
All job sites are within the immediate Thunder Bay area — no long-distance travel required.
Competitive hourly pay rate: $40–$60 per hour, based on experience and certification
